Retained Advisor

We advise business owners in regularly scheduled meetings to ensure progress is made toward strategic goals and to streamline responses to new operating challenges that arise at each stage of growth.  This service is targeted toward businesses not currently in the middle of a strategic transaction, but that have strategic, tactical, and operational matters for which they desire the perspective of an independent sounding board.  It is applicable to those companies that are not yet ready for an in-depth VAR but want to ensure that they start preparing well in advance for a strategic transaction.  Similarly, it can apply to already-funded companies seeking expertise in handling new challenges arriving post-closing.  This service can complement a company’s existing advisory board or board of directors, or fulfill parts of those functions in their absence.

A key focus of each session is helping the business owner take a step back from day-to-day details to ensure progress is made toward strategic goals.  New operational issues – ranging from employee compensation plans to banking relationships to the terms of channel partner relationships – are discussed in detail to help ensure that moves made today do not detract from the company’s positioning in the future.  A fixed retainer makes budgeting easy and entitles clients to regularly scheduled sessions, email and phone support between meetings, and a discount off ad hoc services.
