Venture Assessment Report

The Venture Assessment Report (VAR) is a quick, intense assessment of a company’s readiness for a transaction.  This enables management to obtain and incorporate frank, expert feedback before going to market.  In addition to being a preview for companies considering Strategic Transaction Support, this is a benefit to companies that do not necessarily plan to use an advisor, but still desire an objective, third-party assessment of their transaction-readiness.  A VAR includes a thorough analysis from the perspective of a prospective investor, acquirer, or strategic partner.  This includes a detailed review of existing company materials, extensive Q & A with management, and a review of typical due diligence requests.

A final report is reviewed with management that entails likely market feedback (positive and negative), items to be completed prior to going to market, the best target audiences for a transaction, and the proper process and timeline. Compensation for this service is a one-time fixed fee.  For those clients that continue to Strategic Transaction Support, the VAR fees may offset initial retainers.
